Key Responsibilities

As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch.
  • Managing and developing a team of warehouse operatives to meet operational goals.
  • Implementing and maintaining efficient stock control systems and procedures.
  • Ensuring all health and safety standards are adhered to and promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
  • Managing the warehouse layout and optimising space to accommodate business growth.
  • Collaborating with internal departments (e.g., procurement, logistics) to streamline operations.
  • Handling staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective operations.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  • A hands-on approach to managing day-to-day warehouse operations and driving improvements.
