Contributing directly to the reduction of carbon emissions, the protection of consumers and the promotion of a thriving energy market, you'll ensure compliance with energy regulations and play a vital role in building a cleaner, more equitable and resilient energy landscape for future generations.

Increasing your knowledge with a view to optimising regulatory strategy and empowering your teams, we'll expect you to foster collaboration throughout the OPSS to ensure we meet policy needs and maintain consistent practices. You'll also respond to enquiries, offer advice to government, support the development of new legislation and undertake a full range of enforcement activities that protect the interests of consumers.

Your strong analytical skills will allow you to interpret complex data, identify trends and inform decision making, while your excellent interpersonal skills will see you building positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement affective plans, adapt to changing priorities and deliver results while under pressure, you'll be skilled at communicating complex information to technical and non-technical audiences. An inspirational and motivating team leader, and ready to collaborate with your colleagues to achieve shared goals, any experience of delivering technical regulations or operational projects in the utilities sector would be a plus. In addition, you should be prepared to travel occasionally to sites throughout Great Britain.
